ugh..ex boyfriend birthday email..
Why is it that ex boyfriends (well he wasnt exactly a boyfriend) feel it necessary to drop you an email tow ish you a happy birthday when you haven't spoken in years...i feel like saying 'I get in a lot of trouble everytime you write me emails or text message, so DONT!' grrr!!!

Re: ugh..ex boyfriend birthday email..
oh how annoying! I think I'd even almost say something like,'Nice of you to say, but I think it's a better idea if we didn't talk considering I'm walking down the aisle in 3 months!'

OMg. What a tool.Either ignore or respond with something like: Thanks, we're really excited about our wedding. We wish you the best as well.
Make sure there's lots of WE'S in there.

Re: ugh..ex boyfriend birthday email..
well he said 'please dont respond. nothing ends normally when we talk.' But im not like that so I just wrote back thanking him for the note and explaining that im not the type to not say thank you for a birthday wish and to take care and be well.SOO he writes back with 'I know youre not that type of person. I would have understood and not thought badly of you if you hadnt responded. I know the type of person that you are...thanks for responding though.' agh!

Re: ugh..ex boyfriend birthday email..
I definitely had the sort of ex-fling Facebook friend me this week. Enough time has passed since we last spoke, though, where I think we're mature enough to maintain a friendship. Besides, he's in California and I'm here on LI, so the chances of us seeing each other are slim to none.
I had an ex-crush post a huge CONGRATULATIONS message on my Facebook several times. . .again, kinda weird, but we're mature enough to handle that.
Everybody knows where I stand and how loyal, dedicated, and connected to FH I am. . .just because some ex-fling or ex-boyfriend or ex-crush decides to say hello doesn't mean that I'm going to go running off into his arms. It's all in how you deal with these things and where you stand.
