To ladies that have travelling FHs or that travel themselves how do you do it? I had to drop FH off at the bus this morning...i had tol eave in him the parking lot alone so i wasnt late for work..not fun!!! I admire your strength ladies!!

Hmmm well we wont live together yet lol! But when I travel I usually travel with a co-worker so we go together. Since all the budget cuts the traveling has been put to the side but for a while I was traveling at least once a month. It did get kind of annoying though.

It *****! I've had to travel a lot for school over the last few years and recently FH's company has been expanding and sent him away a few times. I seriously cry or am on the verge of tears every time one of us leaves. The worst was when I went to Taiwan. Because of the time change we had very little time to talk to one another and I was gone for 2 weeks.

It's def. not easy! I leave Sunday night for a business trip and don't come back until Friday afternoon and I'm not looking forward to it... Usually it's only like 2 days which is fine but this one is long Hang in there! He'll be home before you know it!

It is def hard! FH travels twice a year for 10 days at a time! He will be leaving again sometime in April It is always so sad because I have to drop him off at the airport and than just leave him there! Good Luck for the rest of the week, and we will all be here!

Ugh. I travel ALL the time. Sometimes I am gone every week for 2-4 days, then I will get to stay home for a few weeks but it depends. It gets tiring and lonely (though every now and then it's nice to just not have to be responsible for anyone but yourself). The one good thing is it makes you value your time together more. Obviously there is NO NO NO way I could do this when we have a family but right now. . I am just HAPPY to have a job!

FH is going to Nigeria for a week and a half at the end of April for his Fathers Bday, I dont know HOW im going to do it! Im going to miss him soo much!

FH is going away for 4 days in a few weeks, and I'm going to clean my room, and excercise, and order wedding things, and crochet, and watch tv...I'm actually kind of looking forward to having some me-time, although I'll be vomiting with worry.

My Fh travels a lot! I am use to it...I use the time to visit with friends and family and to do things for myself. I miss him when he is gone but I like having a little bit of time to myself.

it's hard when Jon has orders to go anywhere for more than a weekend, but i'm used to him having to get sent random places for unkown periods of time. This is the military life and I accept it... i may not be happy with it all the tme but one thing that helps is never say good bye... always say i'll see you later. sounds silly i know but it works for us and a few other military girls. it will be ok he will be home before you know it

FH works out of state often and can be gone for 3 days or weeks at a time. In the begining it was bad but now I just tape all my reality shows he won't watch with me and watch them when he is gone. LIW has kept me busy many nights he was working. Thank you girls!!!!!

FH is at All-Eastern, right? My FH had to go to a (NYSSMA) conference in Rochester in December. . .I think he had a more difficult time with it than I did, because he called me during every free period I had AND at least once every other hour.
I dealt with being alone for a few days by having people over a couple of times!!! It was something to look forward to!

Well i ususally do the traveling.. most to Ireland for my job and FH HATES it.. lol ... he doesnt talk to me for like a week after but I always bribe him by bringing back that jameson whiskey that they dont sell in the states and he forgives me

Why don't you just think of it as quality alone time and quality friend time? I think it's always important to have this 'me time' when you're a part of an 'us'.

Nothing I love more than alone time!!!! Fellow teachers...you know how it is...on stage ALL day, interacting, socializing, etc. Quiet, down time is SO underrated!!
However...FH works for the Olympics and is gone for 6 months at a time! He can usually come home once or twice from whereever he is. During the Beijing Games, he was not permitted to leave the country. Talk about stress!!!!
