UGH!!! I'm Confused!

UGH!!! I'm Confused!

Ok, so the wedding is 5 months away and I'm just now looking at STD's.
I'm thinking of NOT sending them since my guest list is over 300 and I would really like it if 100 of these ppl didn't show up

If I dont' send STD's, then when should I send invitations since we have a lot of OOT guests that need to get tickets?

I would send them out 3 months before if you have a lot of OOT guests

I would probably not send them if you want a smaller guest list. Plus, those people that are out of town, if they are close, probably know about the date already, so might have made plans already.

Some people in my family have booked the hotel and flight already without having std's or the invite yet.

i did std like 2 months ago....i wanted them out sooner but what can you do. we only sent them to the oot and close friends and family. fh wants to send out invites earlier than what all the magazines say....like at least 3 months in advance. then that way you know who isn't coming and if you have a 'B' list you can send those out in enough time.......hth

we're sending ours out 3 mos in advance. That way, those that need to get tickets can do so. If I were you I wouldn't bother with the STD's at this point and just send the invites out early. Good luck!

I've you plan on sending the STD's it has to be soon is suppose to be 6 months in advance. If you are going with the invitations i think you should send them out 3 months in advance no later.

Hey! I have over 300 guests too with no B list and I sent my STD in October for my May wedding. By now, you should not worry about the STD to those that are not OOT, just sent to OOT if you still want to.

I'm sending my invites out the last week of Feb for my May wedding. HTH!!
I would send yours out at least 10 weeks before the wedding. Say around March 12th week????

I've decided I'm def NOT doing STDs and will send out invites in Feb so that everyone has enough time to get tickets.

Thanks girls!

I wouls for-go the STD's all together and just send regular invites. Besides, STD's are only mandatory if you are having a destination wedding. Otherwise, they are cute but not required.

I would send your invites out 3months before, with an rsvp date of a month before your WD, believe me there will be people who do not respond on time.
