UGH It is a little annoying....

Original post by nycchic_24

I know what the big opinion will be here...

If you dont like the topic why read it...but it seems as if it has taken over the boards today and only in my measly little opinion do I think its just a tad classless.

Honestly, I dont want to know when and if anyone will be sleeping with someone on their first, second, third or 103rd date and I want to know less if they will be doing it with their period or not.

Yes, its a free country and of course you have freedom of speech to discuss whatever you may want but if thats the case then I feel that I have every right to put up this post.

Is nothing 'sacred' anymore?? And I dont mean that in a religious sense..I am just saying.

All I can say is we were all laughing and having fun on what Mich posted. It was all in good fun, so I dont see what the big deal is. If people didnt want to reveal that part of there lives then they didnt post on it. JMO.

Frankly I am more offended by the spelling of 'advice' as 'advise' than I am by 'girl talk'.

check it out

First time I laughed out loud all day!!!

I've been moved to post now too:

The fact is that these days everything offends someone. A harmless (IMO) George Bush post the other day put someone over the edge.

If the post everyone is referring to were the BHB board or even the Yankees board I would think it was inappropriate, and probably FM the person to suggest that they move/erase it. BUT it was on the NWR board and therefore EVERYTHING is fair game.

I agree that we should make the effort to let people know that it's a personal or potentially controversial post so people can make their own GROWN UP decisions to view it or not.

BTW, I do believe in this case the subject line did say 'Personal' in it but I could be wrong.

My two cents.....take it for what you believe it is worth.

I guess I can see both sides, but I do agree that the title should have a warning... the one that this is about didn't.. but you know what like Dmangel said who cares. I was alittle grossed out... but you know what alot of things gross me out so I don't count.

Would it have been SO HORRIBLE if it was posted on the TTC board are we in JR. High Still. By the way this board is the NWR so it has nothing to do with 'weddings' Anything goes.

I think whiny posts about what other people are posting are annoying. JMO.

I personally was having fun with the postsd you refer to. They all said personal, and as soon as you see something you don't like, you just hit the back button and go on with your merry life. Ipersonally don't feel squeamish or offended or anything hearing about sex and periods, etc. I'm not a child, it's life. For the most part, we all have sex, we all have our periods, or we have sex with someone who gets a period, so these are things we're all dealing with just as much (or more than) finding the right shoes or the perfect 'soon to mrs' sweats'.

Some people are asking questions for fun, some people really want advice, info, past experiences. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I think it's nice to 'warn' people, but it's not neccesary, and if it says 'personal', then that's warning enouhg for me, I know I'm going to find something about sex or health in there.
