when i ordered my dress they said it was supposed to be in within 6 - 8 months. well 8 months is today, so i called the salon, and they said it's not due in until the 2nd week of august, which is only 6 weeks before my wedding!
i'm definitely annoyed, but the salon's only explanation was that kenneth pool often takes extra time with beading.
i ordered the dress big, and have since lost about 10 lbs, so now i'm nervous. now i know why girls lie about their wedding date!

kenneth pool is the same company as amsale, yes?
because i ordered mine in jan, was told first it would be in first week in july, then july 14th, then the other day i called to ask about something else and now its august 17th.
they do seem to be backed up but i know a bride who wore kenneth pool on her memorial day wedding and it all worked out so dont worry!!!

yup same company. i'm sure it will be fine, but it's more annoying because i ordered it in october specifically because i didn't want to deal with it coming in so late. guess you can't win.

I will say that I know designer dresses do take longer then the normal 6-8months. My dress took about 10 months. Honestly, I know its frustrating but I wouldn't worry. Six weeks is plenty of time, even four weeks is. And the wedding salon has an awesome reputation for alterations. Hang in there!

Thanks, that's so helpful to hear. Labor Day falls smack in the middle of the 6 weeks, and I'm sure they'll be closed that weekend, so now i'm down to only 5 available weekends for alterations.

My dress is due in the same time as yours and our wedding dates are the same... I am figuring they must know what they are doing.. I am not worried... I am thinking if my weight fluctuates and stuff, it will be closer to the date and then it will fit better...If it is too early and you lose more weight then it will hang on you... Try not to worry yet... I am sure you will look fabulous.

That is plenty of time for fittings. The closer to the wedding the better! I had my last fitting 4 days before my wedding and some how I managed to lose weight and the dress was a little loose.
