UGH! Long lost friend asking to be invited to wedding!!!!!

Original post by DNicholes

Awhile back I had posted about a girl from college that i was close with but then lost touch with but when I got engaged she reappeared out of nowhere asking to be invited to my wedding.....(mind you, I had tried to keep in touch, she graduated a year before me so that made it more difficult too cause I was still in college and she was not) WELL she stopped for the past few months but this weekend she texted me like 4 times on Friday night...called like 2 on Sat. b/c she was is NY....I tried calling her back once but got nothing..oh well ok....thens he called on Monday and left a message, I didn't call her back.....SO i just signed onto my myspace page & she just left me a message telling me AGAIN IN PUBLIC to be invited to the wedding....I approved the comment just so you girls on myspace can see this, just so you don't think I'm crazy.....unbelievable...it's insane & never in my life would I ever do this!!!

I mean, I was good friends with her...but that was in 2002!!!!!!! She hasn't even ever met FH nor does she know a single thing that is going on in my life!!

Vent over....but now I'm like...should I invite her...or no? it's really annoying

Do you want to re-kindle a friendship with her? If the answer is yes, than invite her. Will she be around in 20 years?
If you're indifferent, or you just don't feel that close to her, than don't .
You can simply tell her that you kept your wedding very small (30 people) even if thats a lie and be done with it.
One word of advice.....not inviting someone to your wedding sends the message that you just don't really want to be that close to them.....just a thought that may help you make the decision one way or the other.

I've tried to re-kindle a friendship with her....do I want to just ignore her....no but will she be around in 20 years...no

This is def. the worst part of wedding planning and your word of advice is right on target but I mean there are people I see on a daily basis that I'd rather have there then her and we aren't inviting them b/c we just have to cut it off somewhere.....

blaaaaaaaah! I can only laugh now, if I don't I'll go insane! lol
