UGH my flowers

UGH my flowers

so my florist took a leave of absense or something like that...he told me that he could dye calla lillies to match my girls dresses (red) and it woukd be no prob. well my mom went to look at the samples and sent me pics (bceause he apparently left DETAILED notes yeah right because these were NOTHING like i picked out) AND the red dyed flowers look DEAD!! so much for all red iwth a little yellow...it would have to make eveything be mostly yellow and that is NOT what i want...so i changed my colors to red and pink and the majority of the flowers will be pink UGHHHHHH i was so NOT stressed and now 3 weeks to go and i have to change the color scheme!

Have you spoken to the florists? Maybe they can spray dye the calli lillies red?

unfortunatley that is what i was saying..when they dyed them they look DEAD, the first guy told me it was no problem,he was the one who suggested it btu the woman i am working with now said that they are NOT good flowers to dye AT ALL

Don't callas come in a reddish burgundy? Maybe you can just get those and some other yellow flower to 'play off each other' instead of dyeing the flower...I'm sure a color combo would look nice.

Oh, I misunderstood. All I can say, is thank goodness you found out now versus on the wedding day. I'm sure the new color scheme would look beautiful. Maybe you can still use yellow in some other way?

I'm so sorry....as if you don't have enough things to worry about! Is it absolutely necessary to have cala lillies? Maybe you could go with red roses instead of changing your whole color scheme?
