So.... I calculated when I would be getting my period if all would stay the same as of now and guess when it lands.. YUP... You guessed it... The day right after the DAY, which means I will have it all through our honeymoon.
Now, I know you girls have talked about stopping your period if you are on the pill. How do you skip a period when on the pill. Sorry, I haven't been on the pill in years... I am not currently on it but plan on getting on it this month.... how can I skip it and will it work since I haven't been on the pill in ages??
TIA

Re: UGH - MY LUCK
when you go on the pill you will disrupt your cycle anyway ... once you are on it if u still need to change your cycle then instead of skipping the placebo(sugar ) pills on the last week you just start a new pack

if you havent been on it in a while and start this month, chances are that your cycle will change so you may want to wait a couple of months to see if it will stablize ... you may not have it on your HM after all!!

Just to warn you I skipped the sugar pills to shift the week of my period and I had spotting for a whole month and pain as well. It went away eventually but don't be surprised/worried if this happens to you.

Thanks Girls.
Now.. how long would my body take to adjust to a new cycle (if it does). I feel like I waited to long to start the pill for my body to adjust?

Thanks for the heads up with the spotting. That is the reason why I got off the pill to begin with... I was constantly spotting in between periods.

Tell your dr what you're planning on doing. She can help you calculate everything with the proper pill. Not all bcps will let you skip your period. And, you'd prob rather skip it before your wedding so that if you do have breakthrough bleeding, it will not be on your honeymoon.

this always happens to me, so dont do it too close to the wedding. i did it 4 months before so that i wouldnt have to worry about anything

I just want to warn you about this. Yes it is awesome to only get your period every 3 months. However the first few months I had THE WORST mood swings ever. I would get mad at literally nothing. I also think that this pill is the reason that my sex drive is currently in the basement. At my annual in Feb I am thinking about getting off of it.

So you mean skip it a couple of months before to throw off your cycle? I don't have much time
