UGH my vacation is not starting well

So today I had the bridal shower of the girl that was my student teacher last year. All I can say is that it was over the top! The cake itself was one of those hat box cakes with three layers of the different types of boxes.

She received so many presents. Her mother and her bridal party throw one heck of a shower. I was so touched at how sweet everyone was to me and concerned about me being comfortable.

She was completely suprised, they even flew her Grandmother in from FL as a surprise. I cried when she saw her grandmother. Then her mother also arranged for her friends she met in Spain to fly in for her shower also.

When she opened my gift she said this is from Jamie my mentor I was so touched.

After almost 5 hours, I was getting uncomfortable so I decided to leave. I called DH to tell him that I am leaving and I will be home in 40 minutes. I am doing great, just tried. As I get in the West Islip all of the sudden I was hit with this sharp pain. OMG it hurt. I didn't think it labor but it hurt so bad. I call my DH to tell him I am getting off the highway because I don't feel comfortable driving anymore in this kind of pain. He is asking me if it's labor and then tells me hold on and starts talking to my step-father about padding for the carpeting
I am like W T F you SOB so I hang up on him and I call my Mom. She is like pull over and I will come get you. I pull over into a shopping center in Bayshore/Brentwood. I got out of my car trying to see if I walk a little will the baby move? But I couldn't stand up too straight. I really was feeling unsafe there. So I called my Mom and started on the service road again.

Eventually I met up with my Mom got into her car and she brought me home. I couldn't even stand up right it was awful. I was shaking so badly. This is the third time that it has happened but the first time in the car. I guess no more driving for me.

DH is insisting that I am NOT returning to work on the 29th. I don't know my emotions are now all over the place.

Sorry I just need to let this out somewhere. I don't even know what I am whining about.
