Ugh snow!!!!

I was supposed to be coming to LI for the weekend from upstate for my hair and make up trial, look at tux stuff, go dancing....but now I'm not so sure we should make the trip. I really wanted to get my trials done though

Anyone elses weekend plans being sabotaged by the weather? Is it even that snowy down there?

No snow yet! They're saying it's not going to be anything like the last one...just up to six inches.

My shower is tomorrow. I feel your pain.

Oh no! Fingers crossed that it stays clear for both of us then. How far is your shower? Are you supposed to have a lot of OOT guests coming? I'm sure it will still be wonderful!!!

Thanks! I'm sure it's just in Nassau. A few family members coming from Jersey and an hour or so upstate, but hopefully things will be cleared up by the morning!

PS it just started snowing lol

I live in Dutchess county its about an hour and 15 mins from queens and im making the trip into queens after work since FH got us tickets to see Ave Q tonight.. We are getting hit more up here then down in the city which i think is only getting like 2 inches.. and i rather be there then up here in this snow... besides they have all theplow out right away to try to make up for last weeks storm.

Go get your trial done.. and be the bride! then go celebrate with some dancing! Safe travels

get out! what county do you live in. Im pretty new up here( ive been saying im new for 3 years now lol ) My parents moved up here and i came with them since FH were not ready to move in and knew we be getting married and would rather save up as much as we could.. yet driving back and forth every weekend and THE TOLL WENT UP from 5.50 to 6.50 now.. it would of been prob cheaper to move in together lol!

my plans seem to be getting ruined

FH and i were going to Massachusetts to visit his grandparents (his grandfather just found out before Christmas that he was dying from cancer) so we decided to plan a trip...

I was looking at the weather.com advisories and the one for the part of Mass we are going to is in effect until 6PM tomorrow night...we were planning on going first thing tomorrow morning. It says
* IMPACTS: POOR VISIBILITIES AND SNOW COVERED ROADS CREATING HAZARDOUS TRAVEL.
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW... SLEET... OR FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES.

as much as i want to see them driving in bad conditions doesnt seem smart. I emailed FH to get his opinion but it stinks

hope you ladies can manage to continue with your plans...NYs weather advisory is only until midnight tonight and we are only expecting 3 inches.

FH and I are both from LI and our families still live there. We came up for school which is how we met, and havent left yet since FH is still finishing his Phd. We live in Rensselear county...Troy/Albany.

Driving every weekend couldnt be fun. Good for you trying to save money though! And thanks again for checking for us!

It def made us stronger as a relationship which is always good 70 miles in between us which could be worst but can def come in between a couple..

I'm in Queens, and now at work in Brooklyn - it's falling but it doesn't look anything close to the last time we got snow. I don't think it's suppose to be more than 3-4 inches anyway, so you should be okay No need to cancel plans!
