UGH!!! What is taking so long???

UGH!!! What is taking so long???

We sent out our wedding invitations on February 14, (valentines day) and we have received a total of 12 reply's back.. and are still waiting on 50. We said on the replies that we want them back by May 1...
Does it usually take this long, do people wait till the last minute? Will they reply??

no worries, you sent them out pretty early, normally they are sent out 6-8 weeks before the wedding.

I am sure they will start rolling in soon.

I think it depends on the person. We sent out the invitiations about 2 weeks ago... my parent's and FIL's friends and family are responding fast... My friends are Slooooow.
That's what happens when you're friends with a lot of guys (the same group of guys I used to get a Shore House with). So it shows you that going to the bars is more important.

Yea I agree -- you'll probably start getting them back soon. You sent out the invitations really early, so most people proably just put it aside til it gets closer to the RSVP date.

yeah you gave them 3 months to rsvp that was very early...people will see the date and put it aside somewhere bc they'll just be like uhmmmm we have plenty of time, then sometimes they'll lose it, or it slips their mind...Its not even april so they have about 5-6 weeks left to still reply, nothing you can do now but wait.

Yup, I was a little antsy about getting the invites out.
I was worried because it is a long weekend and I thought that people might make plans to go away.

Hopefully they do not forget or lose it before they reply.

Please you are ahead of the game. We sent our's out the same week you did and our RSVP date is this weekend. We are still waiting for nearly 100 (50 couples)!!!!

Sooo annoying. I know FH and I will be on the phone most of next week trying to get these people to respond.

You're not alone. I think most of us April & May girls are dealing with this right now.

ditto...unfortunately when you send so early, ppl figure they have all the time in the world to RSVP and put it to the side..or worst yet, misplace the card. i'm sure you'll have to make some phone calls once your rsvp date passes.
