Thats funny, I always talk about our kids, like they are in the next room. DH freaks too. I can't help it, I WANT A BABY!!!!!!
He just doesn't understand, how much I want one, well he does, but we need a house first. I am just a little jealous of my DH, ya see, he has a son, and I tell him I want one of my own, even though I consider my stepson my child too. But its just a different kind of bond!!

My Dh is the SAME WAY... There are times when all I do is talk about when we are going to TTC and how I want a boy and email him all day about different names that I have picked... To me is SO MUCH fun! To him, he feels nervous. What I have done recently is wait until he brings it up, then I feel free to continue! Good Luck to you

If he's freaking about you mentioning kids, then maybe you should wait just a little while and get adjusted to being married first. I'm sure he will wants kids soon, but isn't it nicer when he's excited abou it???
I say this b/c my hubby's friend when through that ordeal with his wife and it almost broke them up. She got married 1 month after the wedding and he never touched her the whole time she was pregnant. She almost lost the baby from how mean he treated her sometime. He told my hubby that he just wished she had waited at least another year so they could've spent time together. AFter MUCH marriage counseling they kind of worked things out, but he said their marriage has not been the same since. I've seen this happen to quite a few couples. Maybe you should really talk it through with hubby and make sure he's ready - I would hate to see you go through something like that. JMO. I wish you the best!

I've been talking about it for two years and our wedding is still a year away almost, but FH has gotten better now that the wedding is insight he is ok with tryint right away but a year ago he freaked...sometimes it just takes them a while to come around, age, house status, it all plays into their heads more then ours sometimes when we just want a baby of our own!

JMO but his reaction sounds like something more then just wanting to wait a little longer, I know that if I got pregnant say tommorow , FH would be upset we hadn;t waited but never get upset, I didnt do it alone, it takes two people to get pregnant...I hope they work it out though

I think I know how he feels. We're definitely not TTC, but I do think I've been bitten by the baby bug. I just know we're not in a place to have a baby right now and we want to enjoy the time we have together, just us. A baby is forever! Sometimes DH gets a little freaked out when I talk about it, sometimes he brings it up himself. Maybe it's just not the right time...you're only just married

Re: UGH..I mentioned 'our kids' last night and DH freaked
I went through a phase about five months ago where I was pregnancy/baby obsessed. I was convinced that I had to get pregnant right after the wedding or I would lose all my eggs. LOL..and I drove my FH up a wall!Really, I was so annoying, I bought like 4 books on conceiving and babyhood, a couple of Parents magazines. One day FH says to me: What the he** are you doing? Did we talk about this? And he was right, we didn't, I just got baby fever
But it was really just like that - a fever. It came and went. It was like this mini-project where I got all the info, did some research, freaked myself out, and then came to my senses.
Now I am not even sure if I want to have children. I love them but I would want to stay at home, and we can't afford that. So I have to come to terms with that issue first.
