UGH.....LIRR UPDATE!

Just stopped service on the entire Ronkonkoma Branch in both directions due to a brush fire. Now I have to catch a train on another branch and FH has to pick me up, bring me to my car at Ronkonkoma. Sooo fustrating!

UPDATE:

Service has been restored with residual delays of up to an hour

that *****!! I am on the Ronkonkoma branch also. Hopefully they have quite a few hours to get it going again although I am sure that there will be delays :(

I take a 4pm train. That is only 1 hour and 20 minutes away. There have been no updates yet. I think I am just going to hop on the Port Jeff Branch to Stony Brook. SOOOO ANNOYING!

I'm glad I don't have to take the LIRR to Ronkonkoma tonight

I'm not going out to FH's house tonight, I'm going to my apt. in Forest Hills YAY!

I used to live in Forest Hills until we bought our house at the end of April - I miss it!!!

My place is under contract and we're supposed to close this month...I'm going to miss it also....it takes me 20 min. to get to my apt.

Even though now FH wants to suck it up on LI for 1-2 years and then move back to Queens...I think gas prices are driving that statement though...LOL
