Uh-oh, feeling a cold coming on and wedding is Sat!

My FH and I both feel like we are coming down with colds before our wedding Sat! He is going to the dr. to try to get antibiotics this afternoon, but I don't know if they give anything for colds....Any words of advice other than vitamin C?

Re: Uh-oh, feeling a cold coming on and wedding is Sat!

Echinacea (sp?) and I would try to rest-- but also stay active-- the andrenalin will help you..

Also- there is something- I forget what it's called-- you take it at the begniing of a cold-- you can get it in any pharmacy-- worth a trip to the drugstore.. Act ti something... I don't know//

Re: Uh-oh, feeling a cold coming on and wedding is Sat!

I swear by Zicam. Applying it is weird, since you have to put something (either a swab or tube) in your nose. But, it works!!!

Take it right away, when you feel the cold coming on but you don't have it yet.

It's over the counter, so look for it near the other cold medicines. The packaging is white and orange.

Zicam Zicam Zicam!!! That stuff is AMAZING. If you start using it at the first onset of a cold, I guarantee you, just like the commercial says, your cold won't be severe and it will not last long at all!! It's saved me TWICE!

I find that Cold-Eze, either the gum or lozanges, is really helpful because of the zinc.

Beth! Don't get sick! We're almost there! You might just be a little run down and this yo-yoing weather isn't helping. Make sure you get a good nights sleep every night and that will help!

Re: Uh-oh, feeling a cold coming on and wedding is Sat!

Vitamin C, rest, and air yourself out (nothing makes you sicker than being in a stuffy room breathign in your own germs.) Oh and I also heard that wheat grass is good for colds and allergies, never tried it but I know someone who swears upon it. Good luck and feel better!!!
