UH OH - I made a wedding boo boo

when i ordered the bm dress which were originally going to be lavender we changed our minds and got taupe (champagne) no big deal right? not at all.

but then last night at FBIL's house, FSIL asked me about the suit she needs to get her DH for the wedding, just a nice black suit. i said yes, then i was like oh crap no. b/c i'm thinking a black suit will look funny with the bm dresses.

what do i do??? do i have them get brownish/tanish suits?? i hate when i forget to think things through

are you sure??? they seemed to think that black won't look right i'm seriously bad with color things like this, i'm really stressing out

Black will look good with a champagne color! If it were brown or something then you could consider something else. but i think black and champagne are great!

the wrong shade of tan might look weird with the taupe, but you can always do dark brown... what color tuxes are you doing? if you are doing black, black for FSIL will be fine

we're not doing tuxes we're doing suits, it's a day wedding and i'd rather just see the guys in suits. so we're talking about GM suit color not for FSIL

I don't think that brown and black look bad together. Check out Preshussmurf's Review . She used the color euro taupe with black suits and I think it looks perfectly fine. I've seen many other girls use a lighter champaigne color with black too and I think it looks really elegant too. Do a 'taupe' search in the bridal review board and I'm sure it will ease your worries

im doing bill levkoff european taupe bridesmaid dresses with black....taupes/champagnes are neutral and black matches with everything....i think it will be fine if they wear black suits.....

Ahh i just woke up and read 'FSIL asked me about the suit she needs to get her DH for the wedding' as 'FSIL asked me about the suit she needs to get'

just wanted to add that only the sashes of the bridesmaid dresses from her review are the euro taupe color - that will be the color of my bm dresses

Black will be fine. As a matter of fact black will be perfect. Don't do brown suits.

ok i think the black will be ok, i looked at that review and the color of our dresses are WAY lighter but either way i think the black will be fine

who wears brown suits anyway?!?!?!?!?! lol

Black matches everything... it's the most classic look. I would definitely go with black.

I agree black is fine! Our BM dresses are Euro Taupe with a Euro Champagne sash & our MOH is Euro Champagne with a Euro Taupe Sash.
I found very similar vests and ties for the GM with a black tux.

Stick with black it will look great with taupe.

Besides if they are getting their own suites then you are better off with black. If they get brownish/tan you will have all different color suites unless they get the same exact one and that will look funny since the girls all match.
