Uh-oh...BM packing on the pounds...

My FSIL started putting on a lot of weight (let's put it this way--she is engaged, and recently had to get her ER made one size larger because it couldn't fit on her finger anymore!). Last weekend my FMIL mentioned that she may not fit into her BM dress anymore!!!! We have had them for months, and there is not any extra material to let it out. We bought them off the rack, and I only bought that one because she felt it made her look thin (at that point she was a 14 and the brand did not go any higher). What to do, I am freaking out that she won't fit into it and I won't know until it is too late! I am probably only having 3 BM and I wanted them to match!

ETS: I only chose the dresses we bought because she had money issues and did not want to spend more than $100--I was understanding, but I am a little pissed if she won't even be wearing it!

Just be understanding and realize you have time prior to the wedding. It is only June 1st.

Do you know if it is medically related? I would be understanding and try to help her out.

About the dress it sucks you settled for her, but it was a choice you made.

I'm hoping for you she loses weight!

Only medically related if you consider addiction to the super size fries a medical problem! I hope she loses it and fits into the dress, but if not, what can I do...

If she doesnt fit into the dress, then it would be HER responsibility to have a seamtrsess add on a panel of material, its expensive, but this her problem, not yours. i know that sounds cruel, but if you went wit this dress for HER, then she should do everything she can to wear it For YOU!!! I hope it all works out!!!

I wouldn't add to her stress by being pissed about the dresses. Just let her know that it's important to you, or find someone close to her that can mention it in a kind and tactful manor that won't make her uncomfortable.
If worse comes to worse she finds a dress that fits that compliments your other bridesmaids.

It'll be much worse to have an unhappy bridesmaid, family mad at you and to feel upset than to have one bridesmaid in a complimentary dress but not exact match. Really, don't add to your stress by freaking over details that are out of your control-like someone's weight.
