I feel it's best for me not to get involved with another chat board...but how is ultimate weddings? is it worth the trip? do you guys live chat over there?

It's a national site, so there's a ton of activity. There are boards for all kinds of topics, and most have personal journals where you can post your planning progress, pics, etc.
It's very addicting!!!

i don't know if its just me but EVERY time you go there you have to enter username & password and everytime you want to look at stuff (depending on what) you have to enter it again. i found it rather annoying. I like LIWeddings because it pertains to LI! The other one you may find a few from LI. It's not a bad site, but I think this one is better

I love UW. I'm there all the time.
Jennbaby - if you don't have the cookies set right, you have to log in all the time. And you have to set your profile to accept them so that you won't have to wrroy about logging in all the time.

Imake it a point to check LIW, UW, The Knot & Wedding channel message boards. I've seen great ideas on all of them & I see a lot of the same brides. I like this the best because it's a real LI board, IMHO you haven't planned a wedding until you've done it in NYC or on LI! The Knot has a great bio feature, the only thing is there are always sick cat fights on there. The thing about needing to sign in has to do w/ cookies i think!

I too had some problems when I first tried to log on to UW - once that was fixed, I never had to type in my user ID or password again.....
I used to visit the knot.com, but some of those women can be pretty harsh! So many conversations not in the least bit wedding related either.....
here and UW are my major addictions, I just starte wedding channel too, I am in for it haha

I luv UW! There is also live chat there as well, and people from all around the world share ideas. You should check it out, be careful you may become addicted.
