Ultrasonic jewelry cleaners?

Are they worth it? Do they clean well?

So worth it. I didn't think so until I went to my friend's house and she put my ring in her cleaner. I loved it so much I asked for it for Christmas. I got the ultrasonic cleaner from Bed Bath and Beyond, I believe it was $50. Now I don't have to take it to the jewler when I want it cleaned. I just put it in there for about 5 minutes and it comes out sparkley and like new!

So did I! It's awesome! I registered for it and got it from my FMIL for Christmas!
It works really well, especially if you use a little dish detergent! with it!

Yup I got one for christmas too (not from BB&B though)...it is AWESOME...I swear my e-ring and wedding band is more sparkly than when it was new and it also did a good job cleaning up some old siver jewlery...we put a bit of detergent in w/ it...

someone on here did warn me though that a jewler told them that it shakes stones loose from e-rings and stuff so just be aware of the potential downfall...but since my ring is under warranty and I get it insepected every 6 months I'm so not worrying about it 'cause the results are that good!

I read that on an online review - it makes me really nervous! Thanks, I'll call my jeweler and see what they say too!

you can't put everything in one.... it would crack an opal or pearl.... it's only for the 'hard' stuff...

I'm fine cleaning it with a toothbrush and windex.....

I thought I was the only one that cleaned my ring with windex and a toothbrush!!!
