Um does anyone else feel like they have no time at all?
I work teaching full time and go to grad school full time and I must say I am tired and have no time to do anything. No time to get things together for my lesson plans, do school work, see my friends. I've even had trouble seeing FH a lot during the week. I had 52 e-mails because I haven't been online since Saturday night! I started Spring break today and I have a million school things to do. Anyone have any advice on time management?

The biggest things I could suggest, and I know they sound stupid, are to multitask and to schedule down-time. I'm sure you multitask already (books on tape for driving, do HW on the train, make lesson plans during lunch, etc.) but every little thing you can do will help in the long run. And schedule time for you and time for your FH. make it like an appointment, then keep it like one! otherwise, you will burn out soooo fast your head will spin and you will actually accomplish less because you will have less drive, motivation, sleep, rest, energy, etc.
also, you can look on msn.com for time-saving tips... some of them are pretty good.

Yeah its all about time management. I went to school full time, worked full time, and babysit a few nights a week. I found the best thing was to separate things...like tuesday and thursday I will get school work done after work... and see FH, and I will finish other things on different days. Set a good amount of time for FH, but it doesnt have to be hanging out all night...you could just see him for like 2 hours a night for now.
That worked for me to not overwhelm me since I only thought about one thing at a time. I would break it up at night too like hw then FH then hw. Good luck....I've DEFINITELY been there! LOL

Aww sorry a lil contradicting LOL. I guess everone works differently! I just meant make a plan for the day, and try not to think of everything as a whole...just what you need to get done for the day.

Good I'm glad! I only graduated a year ago so things are just starting to slow down a lil bit for me now. Good luck, just remember you'll get through it!

Absolutely....i work full-time and go to school full-time! I am exhausted by the end of the day! I never get to see FH because he lives in Queens, but i guess if i did see him during the week, nothing would get done at all! Don't worry, we'll all get through it! Only a few more weeks of school, right?

I feel like that too. I am currently student teaching 5 days a week, working 3 days, and finishing up my last 3 classes. It's hard. I also try to fit in my social life but it's crazy. It's also hard to see my fh on certain days during the week b/c we are on different schedules. I hate it but I just keep thinking 4 1/2 more weeksYAY!!!

WOW! You are busier than me! I am student teaching next semester but not working, it ***** but what can ya do. I am actually teaching now but they won't count it because I am teaching Pre-K and my masters is going to be in 1-6 grade. I don't know how you can do the st, work, and take 3 classes. GOD BLESS YOU is all I have to say! Where do you go to school?

I know exactly how u feel....this is my first year teaching so its very stressful bc i have to prepare everything, plus im going to grad school, and now i have to look for a 2nd job to pay for this wedding, its crazy. I teach 9th grade math in Manorville and I drive all the way out to st johns in queens for grad school i have two 10 page papers due by the end of this month plus my school is sending me on a trip to canada which i cant say no bc im untenured. i really hope teaching gets easier.

awwww! like i keep saying it is good to know there are others who understand how i feel. you will get through it, we will all get through it! When are you going to find time to take a second job? That is why I work over the summer as a camp counselor but during the year? no way! good luck with everything and thank you for your help!
