So, little background...My aunt married a widowed man older than her who had an adult daughter, who is since married herself with 2 kids. Her children are my flowergirl and FG escort (FH's nephew is our ringbearer).

I invited my aunt, the flowergirl and the FG's mother to LI for FG dress shopping (they live in NJ), and gave them a few weekends to choose from. My aunt invited my other aunt to come (her sister) which is fine, I was going to invite her afterwards but wanted to nail down the date with the key parties. Great.

My aunt also tells me though, that FG's mother is inviting a friend.

Um, why? I mean, I know my sister will want to come too and between her, my 2 aunts, the FG and her mother, that's alredy alot of people. Not to mention, what does her friend have anything to do with MY wedding? There are already going to be way to many opinions at the appointment, do I really need a stranger there as well giving me her opinion??

Grrr! Why do people do this?? Can I uninvite her? Its just awkward because while I'm close to my aunt i'm not as close to FG's mom. ugh

I would just tell them that the stores can only accommodate a certain number of guests and you're already maxed out.

Tell them this! I hate when people try to bring along extra people.

This is a good idea I didn't think of that. I hate to start this whole process off on the wrong foot but really people use your common sense! Why would I want a stranger at a wedding appt? I'm sure shes a very nice person, but that's beside the point. lol

That is just weird.. why would she even want to be there?! Definitely tell her that there's a limit on the amount of people you can bring.
