i found a hair stylist that charges $75 for the bride and $65 per BM which is great ... but the trial costs $100...!!!
how is that possible?!
her explanation is that the trial takes several hours but i don't understand how it can be $25 MORE than the actual day-of hair!
and not just that, but it's $100 for the trial for hair trial, makeup trial OR both .... so i can get a hair AND makeup trial for teh same price as just the hair?! why would i choose to do just one?!
is it just me or is this super weird?
should i have a trial with her?

I'm just as confused as you are!! The math is just not working. I would recommend my girl but she's a friend of mine and she'll be partying at my wedding the night before so I don't think she'll be in any shape to do it. Good luck!

I do understand that the trial usually takes much longer than the day of styling...but I have never heard of any stylist charging more for the trial! At the very least, they should reduce the price if you book with her

It is a little screwy-that you can get a hair & make up trial for the same price as a hair trial by itself , but I do sorta see her point that a trial takes longer than the day of (she might do three different styles on the trial) as opposed to just one on the day of

I think its sothey are guaranteed more money becasue they get 100 out of you for the trial whether you book with them or not opposed to just getting a guaranteed 50 or 60 bucks

It does sounds weird, but truth be told, that's good pricing for both the Day of and the trial.
I say give her a shot, especially if she comes recommended. Do both hair and makeup.

I can see that the trial would cost more bc it can take a while but getting 2 for the price of one is just weird... take her up on it though if you do get a trial with her!
