Would you be offended if someone gave you a gift of lingerie that consisted of the following: a cami top (with control top) in a size 34B and 'granny panties' in a size L with 'firm control'? Especially if you are obviously a 34-36 D (sometimes can 'squeeze' the girls into a C) and your butt is definitely not a large - maybe not an extra small but a small or medium????

Oh and I should mention this gift was from my FMIL!

I am trying to write the appropriate email response telling her that they must be returned but unfortunately, I cannot seem to find the right words - when what I want to say is EFF U!

Does this sound ok?

I got the package - thanks for the presents, but unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it), the 'girls' bust out of the tops and the bottoms are too big. Please let me know where they were purchased from and I'll exchange them.

I think I'd be more troubled than offended if MIL gave me a gift of any kind of lingerie! That's a mental image I don't need when putting on lingerie!!!

First of all - you're right the FMIL buying me lingerie is just somewhere I don't want to go.

My mom just had me cracking up - I called her to explain and my mom (who doesn't like her either) said 'well I guess you now know that your FMIL thinks that you have small t!ts and a big a$$' Leave it to mom to put things in perspective!

Please try to make things as right as possible with FMIL - - having those issues is very, very hard.

Not saying she has to be your best friend, but I think having you and your mom not liking her is going to be hard.

I don't recall asking for advice about the relationship either and I like the way someone with like 10 posts feels the need to lecture me about FMIL when I think most of the girls on the '09 boards know the history there.

Ok - thanks for playing. I'll take it under advisement.

I disagree with the 'try to make things right with FMIL' comment. Trust me...I have serious FMIL issues and no matter how I 'try to make things right with her' and the rest of the family, people will still be themselves and cause drama, etc.

I would 'do the right thing' and 'be the better person' and just say thank you for the gifts but unfortuantely they don't fit right. And ask where she got and if she still has the receipt.

I'm sure you want to blast her right now (cause that's how I'd react) but your mom did put it in perspective....that's what moms are for!
