Okay so Valentine's Day is coming up... and I dont know what to do with this guy I've been seeing. Do I get him something? I dont know if he's getting me anything. We've never discussed what we are in terms of just dating, or boyfriend and girlfriend or anything like that.. i do know that we're not sleeping with anyone else. (i just say boyfriend on here cuz its easier than explaining the situation).
So what should I do? I'll explain the whole situation to you if you want, but I'm really lost about this. Ive never been in this position before... I was never at this stage around valentine's day. It;s a very complicated thing, too... so yeah.
HELP!
and p.s. for all of the new people who have NO idea who i am, I used to be engaged and I was on this site pretty much constantly, but we broke up and obviously broke off the engagement, but the people I met on here were so freakin awesome that i decided to stick around, but not as much because I didnt have wedding stuff to talk about anymore.

Do u like him? If yes than I would get him a little something, nothing cutesy, just something to show that you care. But don't go into it expecting anything. If he gets you something than great, if he doesn't than go into it thinking thats ok too.

I feel like you could get him a card or a little something, but I don't think you HAVE to. People always say that Valentine's Day is a girl's holiday anyway.

If you want to get him something - go ahead. Just get him a little something..or maybe tickets to something you can do together? Or make reservations to a place you both have been wanting to go to?

i really like that idea too. maybe i'll do that. i dunno. i mean whenever i explain the situation to anyone theyre always like 'ummm he's your boyfriend.' but im scared to think like that without him really knowing. lol. i like the idea of cooking for him though. thanks girls!

we didnt make plans to hang out... right now we see each other about 4-5 nights a week and i usually sleep at his house one or two nights a week.... ive met most of his friends, and his mother and sister. his parents are divorced and his dad lives in jersey so i havent met him yet.
he invited me to his friends house for the super bowl, so id be meeting more of his friends i think... im not sure. blah this is the most confusing 'thing' ive ever been in . lol

I was in this situation during mine and FH's first V-day.... he got me a present and took me out on a date and I made the mistake of assuming it was still 'nothing' so I treated it as a normal day and felt sooooo embarrassed afterwards! Just my experience though. I think if you like him and if you like where this *could* be going maybe you should get or make him something. (It's what *I* would have done if I could turn back time and go back to that first V-day with FH. GL!

Its still early, but it sounds like its the beginning of a real relationship. You guys spend a lot of time together and it sounds like he really wants you to be in his life and meet his family and friends. You probably will have 'that talk' soon! The 'what are we?' talk!

If you want to keep it simple- I would get tickets to a show. Then maybe a bite to eat afterwards. Or, go into the city and see a broadway show. That could be fun!

How about baking him something... if he gets you something, it's your gift to him, if he doesn't then just call it dessert. I have a ton of recipes if you want to try something!
