Ummm....Tip about unity candles...

Make sur you SPECIFY you are using unity candles or at least make sure your priest is familiar with them.....

I got up to the altar at my wedding, and see the 2 tapers are lit alriead, with teh 2 big candles on the end (that should be lit for us to light the unity candles) are not lit....


The rabbi whispers do I still want to do the unityn candle, I whisper back, its already lit....DH is just staring...the Priest mouths, SORRY............so we did without them....

but my awesome awesome (cannot say enough good about him) best man had us lite them when he was going to give his speech, before he gave it, he said we had some un finished business....

SO, if you aer using a unity candle, make sure they know what the heck id going on....

at the last wedding I went to the two mothers lit the candles on the side before the bride walked down the aisle... maybe they do it differently at different places...
