Yeah I kinda did!!! I got laid off from my positon, but by being in the union they were able to offer me something else that I HAD to take and not even able to take time and think about it!!!

So yeah...

Sorry that happened to you. This economy is freaking horrible but at least they were able to offer you something else and you can still make some money.

That def *****. They could have at least given you warning cuz they had to know about it.

That's exactly what's going to happen to me come December. I'm not really fired just going to be forced to move into another position in another dept.

What were you doing
and what are you doing now?

I was doing geriatric outpatient psych now I'm going to do psych walk in center, kinda like a ER triage....

That's awful...the good thing is that you still have something, but I think we all know that there's a difference between 'a job' and a job you really like.

yeah. i HATE my job and am staying just cuz it's a job.

Lori, so sorry! It still s ucks to have to be moved to a different position, because there's nothing else out there these days.
