Umm...more $$$$$ for Pre-cana??!!! AND QUESTION...

I am in RI, the priest said to do pre-cana out here...well..its $85!!!!! I cannot beleive how commercial they have made for weddings to be...its already 500 for rthe church donation for having then wedding there, plus now 85 for pre-cana.

QUESTION.....How long is your pre-cana? days? Weeks?? Mines only 1 night....June 9th from 7 till 10PM....does this sound right? THnik different states have different rules?

Ours was $50 for 4 Sat. in a row from 7-10! Glad its finished with!

I just sent in my form today and it is $150 for the one day pre cana. Other options were three day events and they are $270 plus riding a train upstate somewhere.
The kicker for the 3 day Engaged Encounter Retreat is that you have to spend the nights there with other people (same sex) in your room. I'm 30 years old and I don't feel comfortable sharing bedrooms or beds with people I don't know!!! Fh refused anyway so we are doing the one day thing.

Mine is 3 friday nights from 7-10. The priest told me that they try to make it as easy as possible for the couples knowing that everyone has a very hectic schedule...As for the fee I really dont remember.
