THANK GOD...I am back in NY!!! FSIL was absolutely ridiculous the entire weekend. Much of the conversation centered around her wedding...when we would say anything about our wedding (which we really didn't do) she'd get this look on her face like she'd rather hear nails scraping down a chalkboard. Originally she had a big problem with our wedding being 2 months after her because it was 'her year' and we were 'stealing her thunder' and blah blah blah...I thought all that was behind us, but I guess not.
The kicker came when FH went out of his way to apologize again for anything we had done to 'steal her thunder' (which...again, was NOTHING...nobody seemed to want to hear about our wedding so we kept our traps shut)...and she went OFF on him, saying that he's so lucky that she loves his daughter or there would be serious problems, how he's SO lucky that her FH wants him as an usher, and how she's super pissed because they had to cancel their trip to South Africa to go to the World Cup because they won't have enough money to do that AND come to our wedding.
WHAT THE HOLY H E L L IS WRONG WITH THIS GIRL?!?!?! She is the most stupid, selfish spoiled little BRAT ever to walk the Earth!!!! I can't even begin to get into every single point and why they are ALL absolutely insane...I wanted to kick her in the teeth!!!!
This should be a happy time for their family...they are the only two children and they are both getting married in the same year...it should be a happy occasion and it COULD be if she would pull the stick out and start acting like a freakin human being...
Sorry this got so long, she just makes me SOOOOO ANGRY!!!

she sounds extremely immature and absolutely crazy!!! 2 months after her wedding is not bad....its not a competition...can you imagine the craziness she's acting with her own wedding plans?
sorry you had to deal with that this weekend...atleast you dont have to communicate with her on a regular basis.

i understand where she is coming from. and im sure every1 else does,too. how would u feel if she planned her wedding 2 months after yours? u would be LIVID calling her a bishh etc etc..
but the way she spoke to u guys and how she went on and on about ur fh was WRONG. ur wedding is 2 months after hers.. tell her to get over it.

It won't happen since they are trying right away and we are waiting a couple of years...buuut that doesn't mean I am not SORELY tempted to try and do it before her anyway

so sorry you are going through this. Unfortunately, I've seen it before and it may not get better. My cousin went through the same thing with her SIL. The kicker is they were really good friends and my cuz and her brother got engaged 6 mo. after she did. She flipped out. She was Bridezilla to the extreme. Her bro and my cuz dropped out of her wedding and she didn't even attend their wedding. And b/c she is the princess, his parents make excuses her for ridiculous behavior. Its been over a year and they don't speak anymore. I hope for you that it gets better. Weddings seem to bring out the worse in some people and the best in others.

Wow.. Because the World Cup and her brother's wedding have the same amount of importance, right? Sorry you're going through that... Sounds like she's a real class act.
