My mom is leaving in a few weeks back to her native country for vacation. She offered to take material there for them to custom make my veil. I've decided I want pearls and crystals scattered on the bottom. As for everything else, I cant make up my mind what I want to do. So I would really appreciate it if you guys would shed some light on this with your opinions.
I want a cathedral length veil made of organza. I LOVE the length because it's just so dramatic. I have all ready been warned that organza is heavy. The dress itself has a chapel train with heavy beading on it. If I were to go with the cathedral veil, obviously it would cover the train. Im not sure if this will take away from the detail of the train. Plus its the only time the train will be shown since i plan to bustle it for the reception.
If I go with an fingertip length veil, I'll be sad that it doesnt have the dramatic length, but it will not take away from the train of the dress.
So what do you think?

The train on your dress is so beautiful I dont think that I would want to cover it up.

Diva, I vote elbow length, so it doesn't cover up the beautiful train. Plus, if the veil covers the train, it might be a little too much going on.

Ditto on the elbow length- I got cathdral length but only because the bottom of my dress is sooo plain.

maybe something like the picture-a very long sheer veil that is longer than your dress (chapel length dress/cathedral length veil) with beading on the bottom of the veil that mimics your dress' beading. reem acra does this a lot and so does lazaro.
Elbow if your dress is that ornate unless you can get the very sheer veil to extend past the dress's train.

How sheer is the organza veil? I would say go with the chapel length as long as it doesnt block the design on the train. If it is sheer then it will enhance the whole look, IMO.

Here's a pic of an organza veil. It not as sheer as tulle.
instead of elbow, why dont you try fingertip or since it is going to be custom made, make it any length you want.

I agree, the organza veil looks to opaque.

I vote fingertip!! That's what I had and it's just the right length for us drama queens. I don't think you'd be able to keep a chapel length veil on the whole night (too long) but you could with a fingertip.

Re: Undecided......what to do?
i would go shorter now that i see you're using organza...here's a long organza veil and it def looks too opaque. if you used chiffon (pic #2) you might be able to have it long, its a sheerer material.
