Under Count... Still waiting on responses

I will definitely be under count when all my responses are in. I have to pay for 200 but will have about 190 with the vendors. So I will be paying for 10 empty seats most likely. Anyone have any tips they could share with me about being under count and negotiating extras like chocolate covered strawberries extra 1/2 hour etc.

When I went to go book my hall I asked if we could compromise if we didnt meet our minimum. Our planner said he would add extra food at the cocktail hour. Most places will not make the money go to waste, you can ask.

Maybe you can sell the seats to other brides who want to check out the place! :) Just kidding! Are you responsible for vendor meals? If so, you should easily be able to get those counted.

Nicola, ask caterer to 'throw in extras'

We were under our count and since you have to pay for those plates you deserve something for that $$. Is there anything you'd like to add or modify? Ask your caterer to work with you and they may even have suggestions. I was able to upgrade a few things and get some add-ons.

What extras did your caterer throw in? Where are you getting married? We are going to start big since we are about 10 people short. We are going to ask for another hour and chocolate covered strawberries. Thanks for the note we just want to know what leway we have.
