I'm clueless about what kind of undergarments I need!!! Since I bought my dress pretty early, I'm trying to figure else what else I will need. My dress is strapless and lace. The only thing I know I won't need is that Spanx thing. Other than that - what is standard for a bra?

Re: Undergarments
i too am interested on what people recommend. i just ordered my dress and won't be in until january of next year. it is also strapless with a lace bust and silk all over. i hear a lot of ladies are getting long line bras, which i guess acts as a corset as well as support. i'm also looking for something that'll give me a little 'umph' on top.

a lot of girls get a longline bra and others get cups sewn directly into the dress. I am doing the cups and a weird diaper like spanx...

Re: Undergarments
I went to sweet lace lingerie today and got helped by AMJA, who was amazing!! I ended up gettin a long line bra and some tummy sucking spanx. My gown is strapless and I want a smooth seamless look and I think the long line bra will do that. I don't want any lumps and bumps sticking out. I highly recommend Sweet Lace in Bellmore!! She also gave me this really cute bride tote for free...I love her!! She had some really cute I do and just married undies...I'm going to see how much fat sucking I need with my dress and then if I'm ok, I might go back and get those cute undies. My mom referred to my spanx as granny panties...so I think I need something sexier! (as long as my blub allows it!)

Re: Undergarments
Most people use long line bras like corsets. They hold everything in. and plus your bra doesn't fall like a regular strapless.

Ditto. Long line bras are the way to go - the last thing you want to worry about (or have caught on camera) on your wedding day is fishing your bra out from wherever it's fallen to
