Soooooo where did everyone buy their bras for the day of? Or are you having something sewn into the dress? Or are you wearing a corset? I have no idea what I'm going to wear but the bridal store told me if I had my undergarments to bring them to my first fitting in April.

Re: Undergarments??
My dressmaker was supposed to build something into the dress....but he forgot I went for my fitting and we decided that I didn't need it. ETA: And for Undies I bought pink VS ones that say 'Kiss the Bride' in rhinestones.

Re: Undergarments??
A bra wouldn't work with my dress at all, I'm hoping they can add a little structure to the bust of the gown to give me some support. We'll see......

Re: Undergarments??
I have no idea, but a corset wouldn't work because the back dips too much. I need to find a strapless or something. . .I'm a 38D who HATES wearing strapless ANYTHING because I always think I'm going to flop right out of it.
What would work???? And where?

im a 36d and believe it or not they fitted the top so tight and perfectly that i wore no bra. I have never been able to do that in the past, not even strapless bras work for me. When the lady first suggested it, i laughed and said i dont think so. But the dress has boning, its a thick material and she said she would fit it so it stayed perfectly on. I still had said no but what happened was for first fitting i was an idiot and the bra i had on was this thick bra plus my dress dipped in the back too so i wanted to get full effect so i just took the bra off to try the dress on, now they measured me without a bra on and i didnt even think about it. But 2nd fitting, when i tried it on with the bra, it was too tight on top since i was measured with no bra on. I will say i freaked out bc now i had no choice but to NOT wear a bra and all i thought was this was going to be a nightmare. But it worked out and fit perfectly and had no problems. The way the inside of he dress was kept them up and in place.
But you can go somewhere to get one custom made. Go to the bra tenders site, its in the city. THey custom make them for special occasions and specialize in bras for girls with big chest and will make one that goes well with your dress

Re: Undergarments??
I was going to go for a corset but ended up with a bustier instead. love it, couldn't be more comfortable. I went to BraTenders in Manhattan on W44th & 9th Ave. Made an appt for a free hour fitting, I ended up getting fitted for regular bra too. Raquel was my salesperson and she was great. Would suggest it to anyone willing to go to the city.

Re: Undergarments??
I didn't wear anything under my dress. Not even a regular bra. My dress had boning built into the bodice so if I wore anything else it would have been overkill.
