Undergarments..

I purchased my dress at Klenfields and am still in need for the right undergarments. I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on whether I should just purchase them on the day of my 1st fitting from Klenfields or if anyone had a better recommendation on where to get them from in the city or Nassua? I was thinking that Klenfields would be able to get the perfect undergarments for my specific dress or even sew them in since i purchased it there but also may be very expensive.. Any thoughts??

I'm doing the same thing...I went looking and realized I should because I was afraid boning or stitching from undergarments would show through my gown. I'm going to have Kleinfeld's sew my bra into the gown...

I bought my undergarments at Orchard corset on Orchard street in LES and they knew exactly what i needed. I brought in a picture of my dress and the corset they got me is perfect for my dress. They also sell strapless bras, girdles etc.

I just had my first fitting at Kleinfelds 2 weeks ago and was in the EXACT same position.

I went there before the fitting to ask the exact same question. They told me I could bring my own bra I wanted to wear, I could buy something and bring it, or I could buy it from them.

They told me their prices are about $90 to $150 depending on the garment.

Frankly, I didnt wnt to go out to a store (Macys etc) buy a few things to try with the dress and return what didnt work.

Besides, I knew the seamstress would pick a perfect bra (undergarment) that would work with the dress.

So I went with the Kleinfeld pick and it was $125. It was worth every dollar!!

My advice is save your time and effort. They have perfect undergarments for the dresses and it takes all the guess work out.

I got mine from Bra Tendors in the city. Kleinfeld's actually recommended them. Kleinfeld's sewed my bra into my dress for me and it turned out great.
