Uneven bridal parties?

Uneven bridal parties?

Although my date is 2010, we've already asked everyone to be in our bridal party.

I've asked 5 girls. FH asked 6 guys. All have said they would love to be inthe bridal party. (We also have 3 flower girls)

I'm a little worried about having an uneven bridal party. I just like...symmetry as dumb as that sounds. Also, entrance and walking down the aisle..not sure how that would work!

Has anyone had/have an uneven bridal party? And if so, do you have pictures (I'm mostly worried about symmetry in pictures!

Thanks

I'm four and three and I don't know how the entrance is going to work. But I'm not too concerned about it.

I have an uneven bridal party too. I will be having some GM walk down 2 BMs at a time. ..in your case 1 BM with 2 GM.
Another possibility is to have the extra groomsman escort your mom down the aisle for the ceremony so that the rest of the BP remains in pairs.
As for you pictures, I would dicuss your concerns w/ your photographer. I'm sure they can think of creative ways so that your bridal party doesn't look uneven.

All of mine walked alone down the aisle. I don't really see the point in pairs anyway - it's not like the people you pair up have any relationship with each other or something. It worked out fine. In fact, my maid of honor thanked me, because it can be so uncomfortable to have to walk with some guy you've never met before.

I had two girls and four guys (although there were technically three on each side - my brother stood on my side with the girls). It looked fine in pictures - but then, our photographer was a little more creative with the bridal party pics and didn't just do the whole everybody-in-a-row thing, so it was better anyway.

I am having 5 girls and 6 guys....we were thinking of adding a girl but I don't want to ask someone just to make it even.....so we will just figure something out

The best man could always stand with your FH and then the rest would walk down the aisle together. This way thing wouldn't look uneven!

I wouldn't worry so much about symmetry in the pics. As long as you have people that you love in your BP that is all that really matters right??

I had only a MoH and one BM as well as one FG whereas DH had a Best Man, and his brothers (two of them) as ushers.

I had issues with my bridal party and one woman dropped out with a month prior to our wedding so I didn't replace her as much as I like symmetry as well.

I have photos in my review- we were able to do the arch and everything even BP's do.

Thanks The suggestions you've been giving are really great!

I'm sure once it gets closer to the wedding I'll have much more to worry about than an uneven bridal party!

I was going to have an uneven bridal party but we added someone at the last minute. What I had planned on doing was having two girls walk with one guy.

i will have one less girl as well. FH's family keeps bugging me about ! 'you HAVE to be even!!'

lol, i'm like, are you kidding me?

my answer is, i'd rather be uneven then have someone in my party i don't really care about or will give me extra stress.

i went to a wedding where there were like 10 groomsmen and 4 bms, really. all the guys stood up with the groom and the girls just walked down by themselves. And pictures were fine! they just alternated or stood in front of the guys.

We were originally 10 girls and 7 guys but one of the GM had to drop out so now we are 10/6 oh well. we will just double a couple of girls up with one guy- I am sure the guys won't mind

We have 5 girls and 6 guys. We are having the GMs walk down escorting mothers and grandmothers and then the BMs walk alone. In the recessional they will pair up and one girl with have 2 guys, one on each arm.

We have 5 girls and 7 guys. I was a little bummed about this at first b/c I like symmetry also, but then I realized that it is sooooo not a big deal.
At all of our friends weddings that we've been to they've had uneven boys and girls, you just double up when walking down the aisle.
We'll have two sets of ppl that have 2 guys with one girl.
