So FH went a little overboard when he asked 8 people to be in his bridal party (after we firmly agreed on 5 each). I personally don't want to add anyone else to my bridal party. There's one other person I want to add and she's currently in the Peace Corps. in Africa and won't be back until August 2010. So, I'm trying to figure out how in the hell we're going to have the bridal parties walk down the aisle. I'm a little neurotic about uniformity, but I have no idea how to make it uniform. We'll obviously have MOH and BM walk down together. Then 4 sets of GM/BM, but after that it's 3 GMs with nowhere to go and no one to go with. Should I make it 3 walking down the aisle at a time? Should I make them walk alone? Should I make them walk together as a 3-some? Two together and one alone? What would you do if you were in my shoes? Are any of you in my shoes?? TIA ladies!!

Re: Uneven Bridal Party
My FH has 6 ushers and I have 4 bridesmaids. We are just going to pair up 2 guys to a girl. I am not concerned about it since I see it so much these days.

Re: Uneven Bridal Party
My bp is even (or will be once FH finishes asking his guys!!) But there is a guy who is like a bother to me and I´ve known for years. He doesn´t really like being a GM so what I´m doing is having him walk FMIL down the isle. (her husband passed away a ew years ago).
Maybe if you or FH have a grandmother who is single you could have them walk them down. (I was going to do that with my grandmother but she has a boyfirend now and wants him to walk her down!!)
Other than that I think the 2 guys/1 girl thing is a good idea.

Re: Uneven Bridal Party
You can have some guys double up with a girl down the aisle. Or, to make it a lot easier you can have only the girls walk down the aisle and have the guys standing up front already. I have seen lots of uneven bridal parties, and in these cases the extra girls/guys double up with a partner. Don't stress!!!!

BM/MOH GM, BM GM, BM, GM GM, BM, GM GM, BM, GM
This is what I was thinking, but is the aisle going to be wide enough? (Not that they're all huge or anything, but seriously, was it built for 3?) I don't want them to be mushed together and stepping on each other's feet!
Totally doable. I have the same issue, but reversed (more girls than guys). We're doing the following:
MOH, BM, MOH BM, GM BM, GM BM, GM, BM, GM, BM

Re: Uneven Bridal Party
I have a similar problem. I have seven BMs and my FH has five GM. I was thinking to have two girls walk down the aisle next to each other. I also was thinking maybe the first two GM could walk down the aisle a second time with the last two girls. Maybe you could do something similar.
