So my FH and I picked an even amount of guys and girls. There is another guy that he wanted to asked but decided not to because we wanted an even amount. Now, he regrets not asking him and wants to. i told him to do it and I'd figure it out. I can ask someone else but I really dont want too.
Since he has two best men walking down the aisle is not going to be a problem. My question is the first dance. Do i just have someone dance with a sig. other?
TIA

Re: Uneven Bridal Party
Lately I feel the BP doesn't really dance with each other any more - at least the weddings I've been to. I usually just see the BP members dance with their own dates.

I don't like the idea of forcing people in the BP to dance together to begin with. We just called all the couples onto the floor to dance.

Re: Uneven Bridal Party
I'm having only a MOH and BM (although I really one one more girl!!) and they do not like each other so I would never force them to dance together. IMO the bridal party doesn't have to dance with each other.

Re: Uneven Bridal Party
I'm most likely going to have an uneven BP as well...
I wouldn't worry about the dancing, i was at two weddings recently and the BP didn't even dance. I agree that they shoudnt be forced to dance with each other.

I really never even thought of not having the BP dance together. I could just invite all couples to the dance floor I suppose.
Thanks ladies:)

Re: Uneven Bridal Party
we had an uneven bridal party. i was concerned about the dancing thing too but after our first dance the DJ announced everyone to join us on the dance floor, that way the bridal party could dance with their dates and everyone had a partner

I'm in a wedding this weekend...there are nine girls and 1 guy.
I don't think we'll have to dance together.

Re: Uneven Bridal Party
Mine will be uneven. You can have two guys walk with 1 girl. Or some ppl walk solo.

I agree with this.. my FH is always like on the sideline giving the guy I'm forced to dance with a dirty look haha.. and hes like why didn't you come and get me.. but bc they make the bridal party dance together what am I supposed to do..
We are not doing that at our wedding.

Re: Uneven Bridal Party
We are not having the bp dance together. They are going to sit and dance with thier significant others and the one that is single can dance with whoever she wants. My bp is uneven. I have more girls but I just figure we will work it out...not really concerned

Re: Uneven Bridal Party
personally, imo, i think the first dance should be between the bride and groom. if afterwards you are having the bridal party join in, then have them dance with whoever they like. i think its a bit outdated to have them dance with each other, and in your case, it wouldn't work since one girl would be without a partner
