Is anyone having an uneven bridal party ? How are you doing the ceremony and reception entrance ?
FH wants 8 guys including his Bm -9 if you include our nephew who we will be calling a jr groomsmen (he is too old to be a ring bearer but too young for a real GM but we wanted to include him especially since his two younger sibs will be our RB and FG) - he will be basically just walking my FMIL
and i am thinking 6 girls - including a maid and matron of honor
I'm just nervous it's going to look strange Any ideas /comments would be much appreciated!

A few girls could walk with one guy on each arm. I've seen it done before and it was really nice :)

My bridal party is uneven as well, so we decided instead of the guys walking the girls up the aisle they will walk in with my FH and just stand up front with him until the ceremony starts.

Exactly. Since its 8 to 6, just have four girls walk with one GM, then two of your girls can walk down with two GM. If you want, you can let the ones walking with two GM go first and last, that way it can look like it was organized and purposeful instead of both of those girls just being the last to walk out with their two GM which may or may not look like it was just done to compensate for the unevenness. Or you could just have the order they come out in being randomized. The beauty of it is that its your wedding and you can do it however you choose to! At my sister's wedding, there were 5 BM and 10 GM. So it just so happened to be even enough for each of us BM to walk with two GM. Good luck!

Are you getting married at the Somerley? Wherever you are getting married just make sure there is room for 3 people to walk down the aisle. I went to a wedding and the aisle was so narrow the people couldn't walk down together. It looked like a mess.
I am having uneven numbers and almost every wedding I have been to in the last 2 years has had even numbers too.
Also our photographer told us she loves uneven bridal parties as it allows for more unique and less traditional pictures.

I actually almost wish we had an extra guy now because my mom will probably end up walking all alone down the aisle. It'd be nice if FH could add on one so she'd have someone to walk with but FH is a little OCD and doesn't want uneven pictures.

I personally don't see anything wrong with it, I have a small group of girls so if we had a BP it would have been uneven, but FH decided he'd rather just do a BM and MOH than have uneven ( he's ocd with keeping things even). I would've just put a girl with two guys, maybe the last group to walk up.I wouldn't be nervous, and I've seen it done a lot!
