Unexpected checks!
We took a trip out to the Island today to go to Dollar Tree, and we stopped by the Tri County Flea Market on Hempstead Turnpike. I had never been there before. I was just curious and wanted to look around. And guess what happened?
FH's wedding band: CHECK!
My hair accessory from Barron's: CHECK!
FH's Mets tie: CHECK!
We really were only going upstairs to look at bands and get a general feel for what it would cost. One place had a very nice band for $700. We would have considered it, but would put it off until January. Then we decided to look around some more, and found a very similar band to what we originally saw for... get this... $250! It fit perfectly, and was 14K white and yellow gold. Exactly what FH wanted. When she quoted us the price, we jumped on it!
And we ordered our VP invites this morning. They will arrive on or before August 5th. But we won't do those until after Christmas, because they won't go out in the mail until the first week in January.
This has been a whirlwind weekend!
I need a cocktail...
