I should probably post this on NWR, but I just wanted to tell you all why I am acting a little unlike myself today..
Well first off, this past weekend my uncle got hit by a car. Thank god he is ok, only a few broken ribs, it could have been a lot worse.
Then I don't know how many of you have heard on the news or whatever, but a little boy drowned in Commack yesterday. I am on the volunteer ambulance corps and responded to that call.. I am very upset about it.. I can't get the images out of my mind..
So... I am acting a little off today... venting here and there.. I just wanted to apologize.

I grew up in the area and feel that the Commack Volunteer Ambulance people are unbelievably dedicated and reliable and are an important part of the community. Sometimes things are beyond everyone's control.

I'm so, so, so sorry. I had a friend that was with Commack Vol. Amb. for a very long time and I knew how hard those calls could be for him. He was also a ff but also said that the CVA was much more draining.

Omg, you don't have anything to be sorry for!!!!!! I'm so sorry about your uncle and about your experience with the lil boy!!! It's great that you're a volunteer, and we're always here if you want to vent!!

OMG, that's horrible I heard about that story this morning. How incredibly sad.

Oh I am so sorry- did you talk to a crisis counselor? You really should since that is particuarly difficult.
