UNINVITED wedding guests..

So my parents are OOT for my annual family reunion...My mother called today to tell me that while she was showing my e-pics at a BBQ, a TON of people began inviting themselves to my wedding!!! WTH?!?! Most of these people I don't even know!!! Am I wrong for saying they'll be holding their breath for an invite??

Yeh, people tend to think they have rights to all events LOL Don't sweat it, when they don't get an invitiation they'll understand.

MY FRIEND WAS AT A WEDDING NOT LONG AGO SHE SAID THE BRIDE STOOD UP BEFORE DINNER WAS SERVED AND ASKED EVERYONE W/ NO INVITE TO PLEASE STAND , THEN ASK THEM TO PLEASE LEAVE.HEHE I GUESS THINGS DIDNT GO SO WELL AFTER THAT....

Honestly, a lot of people when they hear wedding will start 'planning' to go just to be nice, but if you don't know them, then they'll more than likely just forget about it anyway so I wouldn't worry.

My mother's cousin (who she hasn't seen in over 10 years) got in tough with her last week and said, 'Oh, I can't wait to go to the wedding!'.

Um, I don't even know where you live. No invite for you!!!

And I refuse to feel bad...

It is so annoying isn't it. FH sister-in-law called me up one day and asked if I could invite her mother and sister, who live in california, because they want to come. I don't know them and have a weird relationship with her. I couldn't believe they want to come. I of course said yes what am I going to do its only 2 people but I am afraid because, not that we don't get along its just weird, I don't want them to do something to ruin my wedding.

Oh i love that.... even people I never speak to will start advising me and helping me with planning.... ummm i'm out at a bar, i'm not planning my wedding now...and don't be expecting an invite... whats ur name again? as if they just can't say congrats and leave it at that

It is very annoying! Do people not understand how rude it is when they say, am I invited to your wedding? What I really want to tell them is you'll know when you don't get the invitation 2 months before my wedding Seriously, it's like all manners go out the window when it comes to weddings

My mom said that my...(let me see if I get this right)Great Aunts sister in laws stepdaughter???? Put the date in her phone!!! WHO IN THE HE**?!?!?!?!?, Two of my cousinsI haven't seen since I was still playing with dolls (one was on a PASS for the day from PRISON?! ) Said he'd be out in enough time to attend H#LL NO!!! Down in the sticks where my family is from, they don't invite people to weddings, they announce it to everyone and whoever wants to come, shows up. I wish I was there to speak their language...'Round Yonder, we don't do things that-a-way!' Which in turn they call me stuck up and all...but I haven't seen you since I was 9!!!!

yeah dont sweat it, this is just the beginning and unfortunately more insanity will occur as you near your wedding date. I guess they'll get the point when they don't receive an invite.

LOL don't let it get to you so much, they just heard about it so it's fresh in their minds but by july of next year they probably won't even remember. And the girl who had it in her phone will probably have a new phone by then

That's crazy. FH and I was talking about that last night and we decided that any last minute/uninvited guests would not disrupt our seating chart. I am not adjusting it for anyone. They will have to sit on the deck facing the lake. There will be extra seating out there because our RH can not accommodate any extra people. Atleast they will have a beautiful view.

awww don't stress too much. do they know where it is? if they never find out where..then they can't come ...

FH and I told our families the date and said that they can tell whoever they want, but we have the final say on the guest list..and if they tell someone the date and that person doesn't get invited, the onus is on them to deal with it.
