Mine is looking to get into Local 3, he tried the last hiring time but FH doesn't have an American birth certificate and they denied his application because they couldn't read it. No one mentioned that we should have it translated OOPS. So he'll try again next hiring time

MY FH is in Local 3- he just got in 6 months ago. He's a 3rd year apprentice I think. He works for a small shop- I don't really talk to him about it though LOL
He's taking a class in Local 3 right now.

My FH did the last lottery. He was called to take the test months ago (maybe even a year ago). He got a letter last week saying they want him to go in for an interview tomorrow. I wonder what happens after that.

My FH is a Scaffolding Carpenter - Local 1536. I wish he was in Local 3 - much safer job and it remains the strongest union in the entire city! You girls are all so lucky.
I cant believe so many of us are marrying union guys. I am a labor lawyer and you all just made my day!

FH is in Local 3- Forest Electric.
He just got his 'A' card this week!!!! woooohooooo!!!!! after being an apprentice for over 5 years....he's finally out of the MIJ division!!
FH keeps telling me once your an A journeyman that you can be put on mandatory furlough (sp?) for up to 26 weeks a year I think......this is basically a temporary lay off and you get paid from unemployment and your 'B' fund.......has anyone had any experience with furlough? I'm just stressed b/c the last thing I need is him being laid off while we're trying to save!!!

When was the fair?? The only thing FH gets involved in with work is their softball team!! So if its not softball, I don't hear about it!
He's very close with his 'brothers' though....at least 5 of them are coming to my e-party.
