For some reason, my brain's creativity section has shut down for the last few weeks and I can't seem to come up with something unique for centerpieces.
Really don't want to go with candles or flowers but can't think of anything else.
Wanted to incorporate dragons somehow, but I guess that won't be happening.
Any ideas?

Go to the flea market and look for chinese dragons. I don't know where you are, but Attias has a fairly large store against the back wall that has this kind of stuff. Sometimes they also hold candles and whatnot, but they might just have a resin statue.

Oooh there are lots of things you can do without flowers... what about FRUIT stacked in a clear bowl or vase? Apples or peaches look great, I've also seen a whole column of lemons or limes which look great. I saw glass terrariums somewhere, they were really cool Or a fishbowl with goldfish or something else that would last for the night?
Here's a 17' long dragon that's $5 - I'm not sure if you're looking for Chinese Dragon-styles or 'Fantasy' styles, but does this help?

Thanks ladies-I will think about your ideas.
Actually looking for fantasy dragons-just searched Ebay for 'dragon couple' and found a company that makes this adorable ceramic dragon couple. They're away until Friday but I'll get in touch with them then. They'll probably be a little small to just put on the table alone but maybe on top of something or in something. Wish me luck!!

They have beautiful bamboo in porcelain containers in Chinatown. I bought a few for my engagement party. They range from 8 dollars a procelain dish to 15.
