Unique Guest Book Ideas- HELP!

I need an idea for a moderately priced, quick, fairly easy guest book- not the traditional 'just sign in' ones, but something a bit different.

My wedding is 9/1/07- so I'm down to 11 days!

FBIL and FSIL's wedding was last weekend and they did the wish bowl, so I can't do that....

I was interested in doing the polaroid one, but I would have to buy the books, cameras and film and that would cost a fortune!!!

Anyone have any ideas?

What we did for my sister's wedding was that I took a variety of pictures of them and printed them out. Then I bought an album (one that has the paper that you slide into pockets...don't think I am describing it right) that I got at Michael's used glue dots to adhere the picture to the paper and had tent cards asking people to please write their special wishes around the picture. Each table had their own picture which I had placed on a stand. This way my sister and BIL have a guest book of good wishes with pictures of themselves. Its a photo album and guest book at the same time.

I went to Michaels and bought a matt frame larger size and we can put a 8x10 picture ~ I will try to take a picture of it then I will have nice pens for everyone to sign after we get married I am going to put a nice picture and frame it! (the Matt cost $9.99)

We bought a polaroid camera and a scrap book. The guests will take a pic of themselves, tape it into the book (with double sided tape) and then write a little underneath the pics.

A friend did it for hers and there were SO many people that signed it... because it was different and more fun for them...

what about doing the ceramic plate that you can have people write on in beautiful pen?

p.s. i LOVE the guest card/ table number idea.... just make sure the RH packs them away at the end of the night for you, so as they do not get lost!

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THIS!!!!!!!!

I wanted to do this badly - but one of my friends' told me that in about 2 years - the Polaroids' fade & are worthless. What we're doing instead is taking digital pics that I can have developed & used in the same way...we'll put them in a guest book - but the digital printed pics will last longer!

Try Target online. You could probably get it overnighted if needed...

I'm using a digital camera too. I was doing it just to save money but thanks for the heads up on the polaroid pictures.

I did recieve the book already. It looks great. I love it! It's weird seeing our married names and date on the vellum front page. The only difference is the red is darker in real life.

Has anyone done the plate idea? I have been thinking of that but I'm unsure of it just yet.

Wow, I just looked at the guestbook stores website and I'm soooo glad I ordered mine this early. The bed of roses design is currently unavailable! I know they change designs quite often and the roses one matches my theme!
