unique guestbook ideas?

okay, so the whole polaroid guest book thing is out of my budget and the i'm still undecided about the platter idea

anyone have any other unique ideas for a gb i'll actually look at or cherish?

I so love the scrapbook idea thing. I may somehow want to do this also. You would probably want to do table cameras.....or have the photographer go around and take pics of the guests. Then you could leave the paper around or even create your own book and each guest could sign somewhere in the book.

Hmmn, maybe the polaroid guestbook is in your budget. We got our scrapbook from Michaels for $24 (I recently saw it on Ebay for $14). We bought the camera and film from Walmart. The camera was on sale for $24 and the film was 3 packs of 10 films for like $22. You may not even need to buy a camera if you can borrow it from someone.

So all together we spent like $140 (give or take) for it. HTH.

what I ended up doing is buying a memory book. Its a scrapbook that contains guest signing pages. I will start it and than have people sign there.
After I will complete the memory book, I will have the scrapbook and the guest's signatures

We are going to have a book published from My Publisher with pix of us through the years we have dated, but only on one side of the page. That way people can look through the pictures and sign along the sides or on the opposite page of the picture. I believe Julz33 did something like this and it looked great! I have also used My Publisher before and the hard cover book is awesome! I will take pix if you want...

my uncle and aunt had a caricature of them drawn -- the ones where their heads are big, and the drawing had all sorts of things that they liked in it... they were sitting in her cute red convertiable BMW...with her dogs running besides... it was a cute scene. anyway it was blown up big, printed out and mounted on foamcore... everyone signed it, and now it hangs in the basement playroom- my cousins LOVE to look at it- it is so colorful and fun!

I think i am going to do a big bottle of Raphael wine (you know - those giant Jerobaums) and have everyone sign in Gold Pen. We'll put a sign next to it that says something like 'We hope you'll come drink it with us on our 5 year anniversary!' and have a party to drink it in 5 years. Like a reunion...(But we'll only invite the fun people!)

eta: We will keep it on display in our house - empty or full - it will look cool and be a constant reminder of our day at Raphael!

it's a website! www.mypublisher.com you download the program and you can create your own hardcover albums...it's pretty cool...and yes jen! post pics!!

fomecore is kinda of like a posterboard, but its made out of foam, so its light... you can buy it at staples... people use them for presenatations and stuff... at school, we use spray mount to attach posters to foamcore... it makes them sturdy and allows them to stand up... does this answer your question?? Im not the best at explaining...

YES!!! i know what you're talking about now!!! i saw it the other day at ac moores i believe! it's just hard to imagine how she did the mat though with the picture in the middle, she just glued it?

the caricature was from dimple art they are SO awesome!! you just send them your pictures and they send you a nice high resolution pic! the thing i love best about them is you can ask them to redo it a zillion times until you're 100% satisfied! you can take your caricature and put it on tons of products they have too, mousepads, mugs, etc....i just LOVE dimpleart!

anyways, i took the picture, put on the words in photoshop and ordered the magnets off vistaprint

bunnymonkey that is SO perfect, it almost made me tear i didn't even realize it was going to be raphael
