I got my guestbook idea from another bride here. I thought it was so unique and fun.
I was going to make a photo book from Image Station or My Publisher with pictures of us through the years and let people sign this!

i love this idea but i dont know how feasable it is.... brad pit and jennifer anniston did this at theres. they rented a photo booth and had the couples take pics of themselves and then paste it in a book and write something. you can also use a polariod camera. i think this is so cute

Thinking about the picture of us mounted on a wide egded mat for everyone to sign. Also like the idea of notes in a bowl. I had seen some other cool different ideas I liked in a MSW but I'd have to dig it out of the 'Wedding box'.

I did a wish bowl, where people left wishes or word advise on a small piece of paper and then put them in a decorated glass vase.

My absolute favorite idea for a guest book is actually a guest tree.. I found it when I first got engaged, and I am definately having it.. Incase the pic doesn't show up I'm going to describe it.. It's about 6 wooden branches in rocks all inside a glass pot. Each branch has a small nest on it and you get cut outs of doves. Each guest or couple signs somthing on the dove and puts it into a nest.. It is soo different and soo pretty. .I'll try to post the pic... It should be easy to make and the doves are smaller then the nests so they fit perfectly in the nests.. You can two if you want on your favor table.. Just thought it was unique!!
I am doing the Photo Mat. I bought a 18x24 photo mat from Michael's with two slots for pictures. I am goign to put a picture of us when we first started dating, and a recent one in there. Them I bought a stand to hold up a sign showing people where to, 'Sign In'.

my friend had advive cards at each table, where you fill out advice for the newlyweds, then the cards were put it in a photo album. some replies were hysterical!!!!!!!!

Those are some really cute ideas! Anyone have any ideas for platters and such, or other things that can be used again? I'm just wondering if I will ever look at my guestbook again if I use something more traditional. :o)
i'm doing a guest platter, everyone signs the platter with a special marker then tyou bake it in your oven and wala... you have a food platter with little messages from your guests forever.... and you will actually use and look at it again.... if anyone wants info of where to order please FM me.

buy a tablecloth with a permanent marker, and let everyone sign that...

I just went to a wedding and they had a plate and an engraver tool(like a drill)EVERYONE LOVED IT.. it was definately the high light of the night.. If you need more information let me know.. i can ask the bride..

I'm doing something similar to the photo guestbook thing. FH and I are both techies and I was trying to think of way to incorporate our love of technology into the wedding. So I came up with this: Our guestbook will be a laptop setup on the table with a digital camera attached to it. I will write a cute little 'guestbook software/program' where guests can type in their comments. They can snap their pic, see it instantly and add their well-wishes. A high tech digital guestbook!
