That sounds so adorable with the cake toppers.

you said you used ornaments? Like Christmas ornaments? I have a unique idea for our cake topper, but it's goign to be difficult and .. hmm now you have me thinking.

My nickname is 'Faye' and Fh's is 'Dragon' .. so we were hoping for a dragon and butterfly/fairy cake topper.

Yup, a Christmas ornament! I used an ornament and glued it onto a wooden base that I painted like the yellow brick road. This is the ornament that I used:

I also am thinking of instead of doing a traditional guest book have all our guest sign an ornament for us and hang it on a tree which will be in the room

- We're using a dictionary instead of a traditional guest book: guests will circle the words that either they think of when they think of us/our marriage, or words that when we look back, will always remind us of our day.

- I'm making all the flowers, every last one. This isn't really unique, but I have found so many different ways to do them with fabrics and such that I'm just super eager to get them made :)

- We're also making really funky snowglobes to go with the knick-knacky retroness of our centerpieces. They're incredibly easy to make, the only hard thing will be figuring out what to put inside!

Basically all of our wedding will be DIYed just because I want it to be unique the two of us...it's such a wonderful thing when two geeks can find each other lol

We are having people sign a scroll as a guest book (now I just have to find one)

want the card box to be in the shape of a castle (think I may need to MAKE this.... but not sure. if anyone has any ideas, i am open to them)

going to have trinity knots all over our cake with a beach themed topper (it doesn't fit but it is soooo us to sit in the sand in our best outfits!)

Cutting the cake with a sword

candles all over the place

i want a random TARDIS somewhere.... FH suggested on the flags for the card box, but I want something bigger than that.

Trumpets for the ceremony.

Hopefully I can get my MC/DJ, and also the Rabbi/Priest to dress up

And the ideas keep coming.....
