Unique Reception Ideas

Unique Reception Ideas

I just got engaged and have begun the fun, but exhausting process of planning a wedding. I am interested in something different, especially an unique venue. Fortunately, money is not an issue. We are looking at Oheka this weekend and my mother already loves Harrison House. But I still feel that they are not different enough. I guess I am thinking of something like a stone barn or something outside. We are looking at 150-200 guests.

Thanks. This board is totally addictive.

What about having it at one of the vineyards out east??

Good luck planning and WELCOME!

Oheka is def dif but I dunno about 150 people.. it'll be tight...I went to go look at Oheka and couldn't see 150-200 people there.. My cousin got married there and although it was dif and def unique, it was VERY tight and she had 150 people there..
have you tried Flowerfield? or any of the vineyards out east? if money is no object how about NYC? or perhaps renting out an estate out east?

When I think of a unique wedding, it's not soo much about the venue, but more of about all the all of the little details throughout the wedding..

Interestingly, my family actually owns Macari Winery and Vineyards. But they don't typically do weddings because it is a big production. It would be absolutely beautiful, but a lot to worry about.

Have you thought about lighthouses?

Or a wedding at a Hampton's house you could rent...
