Almost everyone I know is getting a Channa plaque, the personalized hanger, and the shoe decals, (including myself)
Is anyone doinf something unique or different at their wedding in terms of the kind of garter you are having, the guestbook, other prin ts or details that are unique?
I just ordered a thumbprint guestbook from Tear Drop Weddings. It's a canvas photo of you & FH as cartoon characters (you send them a pic) and you choose a design and color scheme. Then all you have to do is buy ink pads and your guests leave a thumbprint to show they were there for your wedding. It comes with your name & date personalized & a cute message plus an instruction card. I have not yet seen this so very excited to have this at our wedding!!!!!

We are doing a thumb print tree for the guest book and I'm doing a batman or dallas cowboys garter.

Its not SO unique but instead of having a guest book...I found a photo frame where I'll put a pic of my FH and I and it has a bunch of white bordering the pic where people can sign...I thought its better than a book collecting dust in a drawer

I like that...I had a smaller version of that for my sister's shower. Where can i get a large one for the wedding?

im not sure how to make my wedding unique because sooo many ideas are now in existence...i feel like next to nothing is really unique anymore! however, i was just at a wedding that was AWESOME and very non-traditional in the sense that they didn't have a first dance (they came in dancing to a really hard house music song and just kept the party going straight from that moment on!), no wedding cake (she had pie stations) and no formal mother/son father/daughter dances...it was sorta nice to have the not-so-normal flow of events!

Unique Wedding Ideas?
Having scrolls for people to sign instead of a guest book. Haven't figured out garter yet. We are NOT using flower centerpieces, there will be candles in our candelabras. trying little things here or there to make it unique.

I'm not having flowers in my bouquet. I'm having an all brooch bouquet. Also, my theme is ' beach shabby chic' so I'm doing a lot of decor with the distressed wood look. Like candle holders, frames, bird cages, candelabras. Stuff like that.

Unique Wedding Ideas?
We are not doing a bouquet/garter toss and we are also not doing that arch thing that the bridal party does for the entrance. We are doing an anniversary dance and giving the couple the throwaway bouquet and maybe a bottle of wine. Our guestbook is going to be our engagement photos with spots of white for people to write on. Our photographer is doing it.
As far as garter Im not sure if Im even having one since we arnt doing a garter toss. If I do get one for FH eyes it will be a military one.

I've seen the thumbprint trees on Pinterest. They're so cute! I agree though, everyone does the channa plaques, hangers, etc so I plan on NOT doing any of them!

Haha This is so true. They are supposed to be unique touches to the wedding, but they got so big that now almost EVERYONE has it for their wedding and it becomes part of long island 'tradition'.
But at the end of the day, we will all have a unique wedding because everyone's love is unique.
