Unity Candle ??

Ok, I have off this week, and am trying to get a ton of stuff done. First thing I'm trying to get done: Unity candle.

I'm planning on DIY'ing my unity candle. (Pillar candle, vellum, maybe ribbon... do I also need a stand for the candle to go on... what else am I missing?)

What supplies do I need, and can anyone post pics of theirs?

Something else I came across in this department: What are tapers? Are they the tall skinny candles that we use to light the unity candle?

If someone can give me the run through on DIY'ing unity candles I'd greatly appreciate it!!!

You will also need glue to stick on your vellum or ribbons. Yes you will most likely need a stand. And yes the taper candles are the tall skinny candles used to light the pillar candle.
