Meeting with our priest on Sunday and want to discuss logistics of unity candle ceremony. When do our moms light it? When do FH and I light it? I can't seem to recall how it all works...
I think you all light it together. The priest will know and guide you through it.
Oh I didn't know that you light it with your moms. Can just the bride and groom light it?
I believe the moms light the taper candles in the beginning of the ceremony and then bride/groom use the taper candles their moms lit to light the Unity Candle.
I'm going to have both my mom and dad go up and light one of the tapers and his mom and dad go and light the other then he and I will light the unity candle.
Both of our moms will walk in together and light the taper candles right away. FH and will light the unity candle at some point in the ceremony (have to discuss with Deacon)
