Unqua Corinthean

New to this and so lost. I have my heart set on the Unqua Corinthean Yacht Club in Amityville. Is anyone familiar with it? But they don't do summer weddings and I'm a teacher sooo.....

Ahh...Unqua...I grew up there...I am not surprised they don't do summer weddings, it is soo busy that time of year...maybe you could look into doing a spring break or long weekend?

I don't know the RH you are speaking of, but I too work in a school. We despise the summer, so we're getting married May 1, will take a mini-moon for 2 days in the city, then going on a honeymoon in July. If you have your heart set on the place, consider a spring or fall wedding and do a honeymoon a little later! In truth, I'm glad there's a break before the honeymoon b/c I could NOT imagine planning a wedding and packing all for the same weekend!

Thank you so much for the feedback! Now that I think about it... putting off the honeymoon might be a good idea so i can really relax and prepare. A mini-honeymoon might not be a bad idea for immediately post wedding

Ive been a member of Unqua for like 16 years, I live right around the block from there,, but we actually really wanted to have our E=Party there in November, and I was sooo disappointed in the service we received that I would definitely think twice about having any event there from now on, espiscially a wedding. We left so many messages, no one got back to us, and when they did they were not helpful at all, so we ended up having it at another place. If you're looking for that kind of feel, though, I would check out the Riviera in Massapequa. They're on the water too and we had a family party there any everyone loved it,,,.
